U.S. Representative from AZ, District 8

Abraham Hamadeh is an Arizona Republican first-term congressman, Army Reserve intelligence officer, and former prosecutor elected in 2024 to represent Arizona's 8th District.
Abraham Jamal Hamadeh represents Arizona's 8th Congressional District in the 119th Congress as a Republican, sworn in January 2025 after narrowly winning the seat vacated by retiring Representative Debbie Lesko. Born to Syrian immigrant parents and raised in Arizona, Hamadeh earned his J.D. from the University of Arizona College of Law and practiced as a county prosecutor. He served as a U.S. Army Reserve intelligence officer with overseas deployment experience. After contesting his narrow 2022 loss in the Arizona attorney general race through the courts, Hamadeh ran for Congress with former President Trump's endorsement. In the House, he serves on committees addressing defense, national security, and border issues. His legislative priorities center on border security, election integrity, and support for Israel, reflecting the concerns of his Phoenix-suburban constituents.
