Adam Bennett Schiff, a Democrat sworn in January 2025 after winning the 2024 election for the seat formerly held by Dianne Feinstein, brings extensive congressional experience in intelligence and oversight. A Stanford and Harvard Law graduate and former federal prosecutor, Schiff spent over two decades in the House representing a Los Angeles-area district, where he chaired the Intelligence Committee, led the House's first Trump impeachment effort, and served on the House Select Committee investigating January 6th.
