Addison McDowell is a Republican U.S. Representative from North Carolina's 6th District, a UNC Charlotte political science graduate and former congressional lobbyist elected in 2024.
Addison Parker McDowell represents North Carolina's 6th Congressional District in the 119th Congress. Born in Whiteville in 1994, McDowell earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and worked as a congressional constituent liaison for Senator Ted Budd before serving as a lobbyist for Blue Cross Blue Shield. He was elected in 2024 in a heavily Republican district created by the 2023 state redistricting. McDowell serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure, Natural Resources, and Budget committees, focusing on economic growth, rural development, and infrastructure.
