Adrian Smith is a Republican U.S. Representative from Nebraska's 3rd District and chairs the House Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee.
Adrian M. Smith represents Nebraska's 3rd Congressional District as a Republican first elected in 2006, serving his tenth term. A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Smith worked in real estate and served in the Nebraska Legislature before his congressional election. The 3rd District is one of the largest by land area in the country, covering western and central Nebraska and more than eighty counties across all four corners of the state. Smith serves on the Ways and Means Committee, where he chairs the Trade Subcommittee, and is a legislative champion for corn growers and ethanol producers. He focuses on agricultural trade policy, biofuels, rural development, and tax provisions affecting family farms.
