Barry Moore is Alabama's 1st Congressional District representative, a Republican first elected in 2020 and re-elected in 2024 after redistricting. An Enterprise native, Moore graduated from Enterprise State Community College and Auburn University and spent decades operating a waste-management and environmental-services business while serving in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. A prominent House Freedom Caucus member, Moore earned a reputation for fiscal conservatism and border security advocacy. In the 119th Congress, he serves on Agriculture and Judiciary committees, where he holds subcommittee leadership roles including Vice Chair of Forestry and Horticulture on Agriculture and membership on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance on Judiciary.
