Biography

Bill Huizenga is a Republican U.S. Representative from Michigan's 4th District and senior member of the House Financial Services Committee representing southwest Michigan.

William Huizenga is the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 4th Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2010 and currently serving his eighth term. He represents a southwest Michigan district along the Lake Michigan shoreline including Kalamazoo, Holland, and St. Joseph. A Calvin College graduate, Huizenga worked for U.S. Representative Pete Hoekstra, in his family's gravel business, in commercial real estate, and served in the Michigan House of Representatives. In the 119th Congress, he serves as a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee with assignments to Digital Assets, Financial Technology, and Artificial Intelligence; and Financial Institutions subcommittees. His legislative priorities include financial regulation, capital markets, Great Lakes restoration, and agriculture including cherries and blueberries.
