Diana Harshbarger represents Tennessee's 1st Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2020 serving her third term covering northeastern Tennessee including Kingsport, Johnson City, and Bristol. Born January 1, 1960, in Kingsport, she earned a Pharm.D from Mercer University in Atlanta in 1987 and owned a compounding pharmacy with her husband before her congressional election. The only woman in Tennessee's House delegation, she is a member of the Freedom Caucus and Republican Study Committee. In the 119th Congress, she serves on Energy and Commerce (Energy and Health subcommittees). She has been active in 2026 legislation, sponsoring H.R.7902 regarding federal approval applications for mifepristone.
