Don Davis is a Democratic U.S. Representative from North Carolina's 1st District, Air Force veteran, and educator with military background.
Donald G. Davis is the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 1st Congressional District, a Democrat first elected in 2022 serving his second term representing eastern North Carolina including Greenville, Rocky Mount, and numerous rural counties. A U.S. Air Force veteran who served as a nuclear missile launch officer, Davis earned degrees from East Carolina University, the Air Force Institute of Technology, and Liberty University, and holds a doctorate in education. He served as mayor of Snow Hill and spent multiple terms in the North Carolina Senate before winning his House seat. In the 119th Congress, Davis serves as vice ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee with subcommittee assignments on Tactical Air and Land Forces and Readiness, and serves on the House Agriculture Committee as ranking member of the Commodity Markets, Digital Assets, and Rural Development Subcommittee. He is the first African American Air Force Academy graduate elected to Congress and focuses on rural broadband, farming, military installations, and historically Black colleges and universities.
