Emily Randall is a Democratic U.S. Representative from Washington's 6th District and the first lesbian Latina elected to Congress.
Emily Randall is the U.S. Representative for Washington's 6th Congressional District, a Democrat elected in 2024 to succeed Derek Kilmer, who retired. She made history on January 3, 2025, as the first queer Latina to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives. A graduate of Wellesley College with degrees in Spanish and women's studies, Randall worked as a healthcare advocate with organizations including the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and Legal Voice. She served in the Washington State Senate from 2019 to 2024, representing the 26th district. She represents a district covering the Olympic and Kitsap peninsulas and portions of Tacoma, with a focus on healthcare, reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ equality, and working-class economic issues.
