Frank Lucas is a Republican U.S. Representative from Oklahoma's 3rd District, ranking member of House Science Committee.
Frank Dean Lucas is the U.S. Representative for Oklahoma's 3rd Congressional District, a Republican who won a special election in 1994 and is serving his sixteenth full term representing the vast rural 3rd District covering western Oklahoma and the panhandle, one of the largest districts by land area. A graduate of Oklahoma State University who is a farmer and rancher, Lucas served in the Oklahoma House before Congress. He chaired the House Agriculture Committee from 2011 to 2015 and served as chair of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee during the 118th Congress. Now ranking member of the Science Committee in the 119th Congress, he focuses on agriculture, science funding, and rural issues.
