Frank J. Mrvan is the U.S. Representative for Indiana's 1st Congressional District, serving his third term since 2021. Son of longtime Indiana state senator Frank Mrvan Sr., he graduated from Ball State University and served sixteen years as North Township trustee in Lake County, administering public assistance programs. In the 119th Congress, Mrvan serves on the House Appropriations Committee (Commerce, Justice, Science and Energy and Water Development subcommittees) and serves as vice chairman of the Congressional Steel Caucus. He champions steelworker protections and domestic steel production, Great Lakes environmental protection, veterans' support, and labor union rights.
