Biography

Glenn Ivey is a 2-term Democratic U.S. Representative from Maryland's 4th District in suburban Washington, serving on Appropriations Committee after prior judicial experience.

Glenn Francis Ivey represents Maryland's 4th Congressional District, a majority-Black district in suburban Washington covering Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties, since his 2022 election. A Princeton University and Harvard Law School graduate, Ivey worked as a federal prosecutor, served as chief counsel to a U.S. Senate subcommittee, and was a senior aide to Senator Tom Daschle before serving two terms as Prince George's County state's attorney. He brings extensive criminal justice expertise to Congress. In the 119th Congress, Ivey serves on the Appropriations Committee and the Ethics Committee after previously serving on the Judiciary Committee.
