Haley Stevens is a Democratic U.S. Representative from Michigan's 11th District, a former Obama administration auto rescue official representing Oakland County.
Haley Stevens is the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 11th Congressional District, a Democrat first elected in 2018 and currently serving her fourth term. She represents a suburban district covering much of Oakland County north of Detroit, including Royal Oak, Pontiac, and Birmingham. An American University graduate with a master's degree from the American University School of Public Affairs, Stevens worked in the Obama administration as chief of staff to the Auto Task Force that restructured General Motors and Chrysler during the 2008 financial crisis. In the 119th Congress, she serves on the House Education and the Workforce Committee and the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party, with additional assignments to Science, Space, and Technology. Her priorities include manufacturing, science and technology, workforce development, and Great Lakes protection.
