U.S. Representative from HI, District 2

Jill Tokuda is a Hawaii Democrat and former state senator serving her second House term representing the neighbor islands and rural Oahu.
Jill Naomi Tokuda represents Hawaii's 2nd Congressional District, serving since 2023 and holding her second term. A George Washington University graduate, Tokuda worked in nonprofit and education policy before serving twelve years in the Hawaii State Senate, including as chair of the Ways and Means and Education committees. She represents a geographically large district covering the neighbor islands of Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Kauai, Niihau, and Hawaii Island, plus rural Oahu. In the 119th Congress, she serves on the House Armed Services Committee, the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, and as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Conservation, Research, and Biotechnology on the Agriculture Committee. Her priorities include Indo-Pacific security, Maui wildfire recovery, agricultural sustainability, and Native Hawaiian issues. Tokuda is running for reelection in November 2026.
