Biography

Josh Brecheen is a Republican U.S. Representative from Oklahoma's 2nd District, a House Freedom Caucus member.

Joshua Brecheen is the U.S. Representative for Oklahoma's 2nd Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2022 serving his second term representing the largely rural eastern portion of Oklahoma. A graduate of Oklahoma State University who worked in agricultural communications and served in the Oklahoma State Senate before Congress, Brecheen succeeded Markwayne Mullin when he moved to the U.S. Senate. A member of the House Freedom Caucus, he sits on the House Budget and Homeland Security committees focusing on fiscal conservatism, border security, and agriculture. He has been active in 2025 advocating for conservative positions on reconciliation and budget matters.
