Laurel Lee is a Republican U.S. Representative from Florida's 15th District, a former federal prosecutor and state judge who served as Florida secretary of state.
Laurel Melissa Lee is the U.S. Representative for Florida's 15th Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2022 and currently serving her second term representing a Tampa Bay suburban district covering parts of Hillsborough, Pasco, and Polk counties. A graduate of the University of Florida and the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Lee worked as a federal prosecutor in the Middle District of Florida investigating and prosecuting False Claims Act cases and federal crimes including white-collar offenses and crimes involving child exploitation. She served as a Circuit Court Judge in Florida's Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County from 2013 to 2019, then served as Florida's 36th Secretary of State under Governor Ron DeSantis from January 2019 to May 2022, overseeing state elections and pandemic-era voting operations. In the 119th Congress, Lee serves as Vice Chair of the House Administration Committee and Chair of the Subcommittee on Elections, and also serves on the Energy and Commerce, and Judiciary committees, focusing on election integrity, immigration, and criminal justice.
