Lisa McClain is a Republican U.S. Representative from Michigan's 9th District and chair of the House Republican Conference, representing Michigan's Thumb region.
Lisa McClain is the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 9th Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2020 and currently serving her third term. She represents Michigan's Thumb region and parts of northern Macomb and northern Oakland counties. A Northwood University graduate with an MBA from the same institution, McClain built a career in financial services and insurance, rising to senior leadership at a Michigan-based financial firm. In the 119th Congress, she serves as Chair of the House Republican Conference, the fourth-ranking House Republican, elected by her colleagues to continue this leadership role after serving as Secretary in the previous Congress. She sits on the House Armed Services and Agriculture committees, focusing on manufacturing, agriculture, veterans services, and conservative fiscal policy.
