Marc Allison Veasey is the U.S. Representative for Texas's 33rd Congressional District, a Democrat first elected in 2012 and serving his seventh term. A Texas Wesleyan University graduate, Veasey served in the Texas House of Representatives for nearly a decade before his congressional election. He represents a majority-minority district connecting southern Dallas and eastern Fort Worth through a narrow corridor spanning Tarrant and Dallas counties, with 66% Hispanic and 17% African American eligible voters. Veasey sits on the House Energy and Commerce and Armed Services committees and serves as co-chair of the Congressional Voting Rights Caucus. He focuses on energy, voting rights, and labor issues. He won reelection in 2024 with 69.8% of the vote. On December 8, 2025, he announced he would not seek reelection, instead planning to run for Tarrant County judge.
