Mark Alford is a Republican U.S. Representative from Missouri's 4th District, former television news anchor, and member of the House Appropriations Committee.
Mark Alford is the U.S. Representative for Missouri's 4th Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2022 serving his second term representing west-central Missouri including communities south of Kansas City, Whiteman Air Force Base, and the Lake of the Ozarks region. A University of Tulsa graduate, Alford worked for more than two decades as a television news anchor at WDAF-TV in Kansas City. In the 119th Congress, Alford serves on the House Appropriations Committee with subcommittee assignments on Commerce, Justice, Science; Financial Services and General Government; Military Construction, Veterans Affairs; and National Security and State Department matters. He also serves on the House Small Business Committee, focusing on national defense, B-2 and B-21 bomber operations at Whiteman, agriculture, and conservative fiscal policy.
