Michael Guest is a Republican U.S. Representative from Mississippi's 3rd District and chairman of the House Ethics Committee.
Michael Louis Guest is the U.S. Representative for Mississippi's 3rd Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2018 serving his fourth term representing central Mississippi covering the Jackson suburbs, Meridian, and several Pine Belt counties. A graduate of Mississippi State University and the Mississippi College School of Law, Guest practiced as an assistant district attorney and served as the elected district attorney for Madison and Rankin counties for twelve years. In the 119th Congress, Guest chairs the House Ethics Committee, which investigates alleged violations of House rules by members and staff. He also serves on the House Homeland Security Committee as chairman of the Border Security and Enforcement Subcommittee, and previously served on the House Appropriations Committee. His priorities include border security, criminal justice, ethics enforcement, and conservative social policy.
