Ralph Norman is a Republican U.S. Representative from South Carolina's 5th District, real estate developer, and House Freedom Caucus member.
Ralph Warren Norman Jr. represents South Carolina's 5th Congressional District, a Republican who won a June 2017 special election to succeed Mick Mulvaney, who resigned to become OMB director. He serves his fifth full term representing a district from Charlotte's suburbs to Sumter. A Presbyterian College graduate and real estate developer, Norman served in the South Carolina House of Representatives. A member of the House Freedom Caucus, he serves in the 119th Congress on Financial Services (Financial Institutions and Housing and Insurance subcommittee) and Rules committees. He focuses on fiscal conservatism, border security, and constitutional issues, advocating for regulatory reform on the Financial Services Committee.
