Ryan Keith Zinke is the U.S. Representative for Montana's 1st Congressional District, a Republican serving his second stint in the House after previously representing Montana's at-large seat from 2015 to 2017. A decorated Navy SEAL who rose to commander and led SEAL Team Six operations, Zinke served in the Montana State Senate before his first House tenure. He resigned in 2017 to serve as U.S. Secretary of the Interior under President Trump, leaving the position in January 2019 following ethics investigations. He won the newly created western Montana district in 2022 and was re-elected in 2024. In the 119th Congress, Zinke serves on the House Appropriations Committee, focusing on federal spending accountability, American energy dominance, national security at the borders, and wildfire management.
