Scott Fitzgerald is a Republican U.S. Representative from Wisconsin's 5th District and former Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader.
Scott Liborius Fitzgerald joined the U.S. Army Reserve in 1981 and was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Armor Branch in 1985. He completed the Army Command and General Staff College and served in various assignments during his 27 years of service, retiring in 2009 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Fitzgerald served in the Wisconsin State Senate for more than two decades from 1995 to 2021, serving as majority leader for nearly a decade during and after the Scott Walker era. Now serving his third term, he represents a district covering Milwaukee's western and southwestern exurbs and portions of south-central Wisconsin. He sits on the House Judiciary and Financial Services committees and focuses on conservative legal policy and financial services regulation.
