Sheri Biggs is a Republican U.S. Representative from South Carolina's 3rd District, nurse practitioner, and Air National Guard lieutenant colonel.
Sheri Biggs represents South Carolina's 3rd Congressional District, a Republican elected in 2024 to succeed Jeff Duncan who retired. A nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Samford University, Biggs holds a degree in Christian ministries from Carolina Bible College and served as a lieutenant colonel in the South Carolina Air National Guard, reaching her current rank in the Mississippi Air National Guard. She operates a medical practice in the Upstate. Biggs defeated Mark Burns in the Republican primary runoff in June 2024 and won the general election in November 2024, becoming just the third female from South Carolina elected to the House and the first to represent the state's Third District. In the 119th Congress, she serves on Homeland Security, Foreign Affairs, and Science, Space, and Technology committees.
