Tim Walberg is a Republican U.S. Representative from Michigan's 5th District and chairman of the House Education and the Workforce Committee, a former pastor.
Timothy Walberg is the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 5th Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2006 who lost reelection in 2008 before returning in 2010, currently serving his ninth overall term. He represents a southern Michigan district covering parts of Calhoun, Jackson, Hillsdale, Branch, and Lenawee counties. A graduate of Fort Wayne Bible College, Taylor University, and Wheaton Graduate School, Walberg served as a pastor in Indiana and Michigan before serving sixteen years in the Michigan House of Representatives. In the 119th Congress, he chairs the House Education and the Workforce Committee and sits on the Energy and Commerce Committee. His priorities include school choice, workforce development, agriculture, and conservative fiscal and social policy.
