U.S. Representative from WI, District 8

Tony Wied is a Republican U.S. Representative from Wisconsin's 8th District, a former gas station chain owner elected in 2024.
Tony Wied graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay in 1994 and attended St. Norbert College in De Pere, where he played football. He spent three decades in northeastern Wisconsin starting and operating businesses, including owning and operating a chain of Dino Stop convenience stores, which he sold in 2022. He brings entrepreneurial experience to Congress, focusing on small business and economic development. On November 5, 2024, Wied won a special election and concurrent general election to represent Wisconsin's 8th Congressional District after Mike Gallagher resigned. He represents a heavily Republican district covering northeastern Wisconsin including Green Bay and Appleton. Wied focuses on manufacturing, small business, and conservative policy priorities, drawing on his background as an America First businessman and political outsider.
