Biography

Troy Balderson is a Republican U.S. Representative from Ohio's 12th District, an auto dealer and former state legislator.

Troy Balderson is the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 12th Congressional District, a Republican who won a special election in August 2018 and is serving his fourth full term representing a district covering central and southeastern Ohio from suburban Columbus to rural Appalachian counties. A Muskingum University graduate who operated his family auto dealership and served in the Ohio House and Senate before Congress, Balderson brings private business experience to his legislative work. He sits on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and serves as chair of the HEAT (House Energy Action Team), focusing on rural issues, energy, and agriculture.
