Valerie Thomas Hoyle represents Oregon's 4th Congressional District in her second term since 2022. A Democrat from Springfield, Hoyle brings extensive labor policy experience having served as Oregon Labor Commissioner under Governor John Kitzhaber and as majority leader of the Oregon House of Representatives. She earned her degree from the University of Oregon. The 4th District spans southern and southwestern Oregon including Eugene, Corvallis, and the southern coast. In the 119th Congress, Hoyle serves on the Natural Resources Committee with subcommittees on Indian and Insular Affairs and Water, Wildlife and Fisheries, plus the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee focusing on rural broadband and forestry issues critical to her economically diverse district.
