William R. Timmons IV represents South Carolina's 4th Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2018 serving his fourth term covering the Upstate including Greenville and Spartanburg. He holds a bachelor's degree from George Washington University, an MBA from Clemson, and a law degree from the University of South Carolina. Timmons served as a state prosecutor and in the South Carolina State Senate before his congressional election. In the 119th Congress, he serves on Financial Services (with subcommittees on Digital Assets, Financial Technology, and Artificial Intelligence; and Financial Institutions and Housing and Insurance), Oversight and Government Reform, and the Delivering on Government Efficiency subcommittee supporting the Department of Government Efficiency.
